serving suggestions
This is an everyday rosé, great for crushing at the river or drinking while you’re trying out that new recipe. A perfect bottle to open alone in the movie theater. A wine you can pair with food or the solid weekend starter.
about the vineyard
The Pinot Noir comes from our block at the Barnwell Vineyard, a Certified California Sustainable Vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Grower Joey Barnwell is a second generation farmer whose family has lived on and farmed this land since the 1970’s. Only organic sprays used while farming, mowed this year by sheep!
vinification
Picked at night and foot trod to extract color and texture, the grapes went direct to press for this very intentional rosé. Native ferments took place in both stainless steel drums and neutral french oak barrels. Once the primary fermentation is complete these barrels get topped up and put in the cold room to stop malolactic fermentation from taking place, capturing that bright malic acid that we love so much.
